Many people carry tension long after the original stress has passed. Protective patterns settle and the body learns to brace. Overtime, that bracing becomes the new normal.
My work is slow, responsive, and guided by what your body communicates in the moment. Sessions support the nervous system in settling so the body can release tension without being forced, helping the body return to a deeper sense of ease.

I began practicing massage therapy after graduating from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy (Newington, CT) in 2010. Over the past 16 years my understanding of the body and how it holds tension has continued to deepen. Much of what people carry in the body isn't only physical. Mental and emotional trauma often go unaddressed until it begins to show up as chronic tension, pain, disease, or dysfunction.
While my early training included clinical, sports, and orthopedic massage, my work gradually evolved into something slower and more responsive. Over time I came to understand how closely the nervous system , mind, and body are connected, and how important presence and pacing are in helping the body release tension.
My work is guided by intention, perception, and attunement. During a session I quiet the thinking mind and work from a place of presence, sensing patterns of tension and how everything in the body relates and connects as a whole. From there I follow what the body reveals in the moment.
